Dr. Jo-Ting Huang-Lachmann has more than ten years of experience in climate change adaptation in cities, especially socio-economic aspects of climate adaptation implementation. Having scientific expertise in the fields of economic approaches of climate adaptation, and implementation of integrated mitigation and adaptation, she has an interdisciplinary background of environmental management and climate adaptation in cities. She also has practical experience working with stakeholders in cities in a co-design, co-production and co-creation manner. Being active in international scientific communities, she is part of the Scientific Committee of the Knowledge Action Network for Emergent Risk and Extreme Events (Risk KAN), a joint effort of Future Earth, Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) and World Climate Research Programme (WCRP).

Jo-Ting obtained her Master of Science in Environmental and Energy Management from University of Twente, the Netherlands and her PhD at the Chair of Sustainability Management and Environmental Accounting, Faculty of Business and Economics at the TU Dresden, Germany.

She has published her research outcomes in international peer-reviewed journals like Climatic Change, Cities and Ecological Economics, and is also a reviewer for international journals and proposals.
