Christina Asmus joined GERICS as a doctoral candidate in October 2019. Her work is part of the LANDMATE project, a joint project between GERICS and the University of Hamburg within the frame of the „Helmholtz-Institut Climate Service Science" (HICSS). Christina will develop and implement parameterizations for land use management in REMO-iMOVE. The aim of her work is to analyze the impacts of these land management practices on the regional climate.
Christina Asmus studied meteorology at the Universität Hamburg. During her bachelor‘s studies, she focused on urban meteorology and worked within the UrbMod project. In her master thesis, she developed a parameterization for solar parks for a mesoscale atmospheric model. Applied to a case study she analyzed the impact of large-scale solar parks on meteorological conditions.
