GERICS Colloquium April 21

ADAPTER: Simulation-based products for a weather- and climate-resilient agriculture in Germany

In ADAPTER (ADAPT tERrestrial systems) we develop in close dialogue with key agricultural partners and practitioners innovative simulation-based products to support adaptation to both short-term weather variability and weather extremes as well as to long-term regional and local climatic changes. ADAPTER is funded by Helmholtz as a lighthouse project for knowledge transfer, in a joint research project of GERICS at Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon, and the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences (IBG-3) of Forschungszentrum Jülich. We will present how we co-create weather and climate service products with our key partners, and introduce first products available on our interactive platform ADAPTER

presented by Klaus Goergen, Alexandre Belleflamme (both FZ Jülich), Sebastian Bathiany & Diana Rechid (both GERICS)
