Eva Künkler is responsible for Public Engagement in the CoCareSociety (Co-creating Climate Services for Care Economy and Caring Society) project, which aims to understand the interrelations between climate change, long-term care, health, and well-being of the elderly, and their energy efficiency in the living environment. The project will investigate how changes can be induced in the interconnected systems to maximize the health-climate-energy nexus outcomes to co-create friendly, climate-resilient, affordable, and sustainable future societies. Eva Künkler supports the BMBF Junior Research Group Lead, organises public events and stakeholder workshops and co-develops the citizen-science platform.

Eva Künkler holds a master’s degree in History from Leibniz University Hannover and a bachelor’s degree in History and Ethnology from the University of Hamburg. Before joining GERICS, she worked at the University of Hannover as a research associate on German colonial history.
