Felipe got his Bachelor in Astronomy and Masters in Physics from the University of Concepción in Chile. Back in August 2023, he received his PhD in physics from the University of Hamburg in the topic of simulations of stellar magnetic fields. Afterwards, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Space Sciences (ICE-CSIC) in Barcelona, where he worked with N-body and magnetohydrodynamical simulations of stars.
Since January 2025, Felipe is a Scientist at GERICS working on the ProImpact project. He will be developing workflows for the next-generation climate models and digital twins of the Earth system.
